What Is Colt PTO?
The Colt Parent Teacher Organization is a cooperating group of parents/guardians, teachers and staff at Colt Elementary School who are dedicated to providing educational "extras" requested by the faculty. Our key mission is to provide an environment at school where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our students can do their best learning. We're always eager to find more great people to help us!
Research has shown that students whose parents are involved in their education have better grades and fewer discipline problems. Involvement at school also makes it easier to establish friendships with teachers and other parents. We promise that the time you spend with our PTO will be worth your while and FUN!
PTO Membership is only $10 per person or $20 per family per school year. There are other membership levels for businesses and families interested in being Colt sponsors.
Your membership helps pay for Volunteer and Teacher Appreciation projects, and supports various fundraising activities during the year. On average, PTO returns 90% of all funds raised directly to the classrooms in the form of learning materials, educational programs and other items requested by teachers and administrative personnel. These expenditures are approved by an elected PTO Board comprised of at least 7 persons who are parents or teachers of Colt students and advised by the Colt Elementary Principal or Vice-Principal.
Please visit our sponsor page to see all of our sponsors! Help us thank them by doing business with them!
 "Together We Grow..."
A note to parents: With safety in mind, MFISD administration asks that all children be supervised by an adult and not left unattended when attending athletic events at Mustang Stadium. During our recent Homecoming Game, a child was separated from her parents which became an extremely anxious moment for everyone. We were all relieved that she was found quickly, but the event served as a reminder of what could happen. It is the district’s goal to conduct all school activities in a safe environment. Your assistance in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone is requested. Please do not allow students to be unattended or unsupervised while at Mustang Stadium. Students will not be allowed to roam the stadium or bleachers without adult supervision.
Students who are found unattended or unsupervised may be asked to go to the supervised “Spirit Zone.” Periodically, announcements will be made over the public address system to notify parents / guardians asking them to go to this area to pick up their children.
Also, a “Pony Zone” will be established outside of the stadium bleacher area where students may go to mix and mingle. This area will be supervised by MFISD personnel.
Again, these steps are being taken in the interest of ensuring safety for the students of Marble Falls ISD. We appreciate your support and cooperation.
